Plans To Oust
Nigerian State Governor Peter Obi Was Sealed During World Igbo
Congress In Boston, USA
New York, October 17, 2006—Plans
to oust the current Governor of Anambra State, Nigeria, Mr. Peter
Obi may have been discussed and sealed by certain Anambra indigenes
during the just concluded World Igbo Congress (WIC) convention
in Boston, United States of America from August 29, 2006 to September
4, 2006.
The prime force behind the plans include
a fugitive former governor who was ousted from office and quickly
escaped from Nigeria and currently on exile in United States.
Others involved in the clandestine meetings include the associates
of the fugitive governor residing in United States and Nigeria
some of who are members of Anambra State House of Assembly who
attended the WIC convention.
At the end of the convention, the former
governor invited the inner caucus to another clandestine meetings
in Maryland, sponsored the transportation (flight tickets for
his associates) from Boston to Maryland, hotel accommodation
in Maryland, local transportation, feeding, and huge financial
allowances, to enable them fine tune and finalize the strategies,
according to our information.
The matter was made worse because even
though Governor Peter Obi attended the convention and gave a
brilliant and convincing speech and assurances about his development
plans for his state, he left immediately and did not leave anyone
behind to network on his behalf.
Even though
Africans In America, Inc. is concerned about Governor Obi’s
use of the military to ruthlessly crush poor and defenseless
youths who may be victims of local trafficking in humans, an
operation in which many lives were lost; even though we are
concerned at the non-performance of the Obi administration,
however, we do not support the clandestine plot to utilize
the World Igbo Congress Convention as a ploy to assemble in
United States of America and plot the overthrow of a legitimate
government in Nigeria.
More so, we
are concerned that a fugitive, ex-cons, patrons of Okija satanic
shrine who cleverly cornered the resources of Anambra State,
impeded democratic development of the state and held the state
in emperorial hostage for over 3 years may have sponsored the
plot. The main complaint of the House members at the WIC against
Gov. Obi include; “too
stingy”, “aradite hand”, “does not roger”,
and “nothing drops” from his hands.
Governor Peter Obi gave a resounding
and convincing speech at the special Anambra Forum and we at
Africans In America, Inc. urge him to expeditiously deliver before
December 2006 as he promised.
Anambra State has suffered tremendous
known and untold tragedies therefore peace must be allowed to
reign.
Africans In America, Inc. is closely
watching developments in Anambra State of Nigeria.
