Governor Chris N. Ngige: Saint, Conman or Crook (2)

Gov. Ngige Must Answer These Questions, Truthfully

New York, January 14, 2005—Following the recent confession that the 2003 election in Anambra State was rigged and following the subsequent suspension of some key players by the ruling political party in Nigeria, some critical questions await the governor of Anambra State, Dr. Chris N. Ngige anytime he publicly visits the United States in the future. Below are some of them.

Election Fraud

  1. a) Did you conspire with some individuals to commit fraud in 2003 thereby denying All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) clear electoral victory in Anambra State? (b) Now that your political godfather Chief Chris Uba has confessed and presented proofs that he rigged you into office, could you now see that you are in possession of a stolen good (mandate)? (c) Do you have the decency and moral responsibility to do the right thing, which is to return the stolen good to the rightful owner?

Satanic worship & Ritual killings

  1. Did you visit a satanic shrine at Okija town in Anambra State, Nigeria at about 2.00 A.M. sometime in 2003 prior to becoming the governor?
  2. If the answer is yes, could you explain the reason you went there, as well as the reason you choose the time – midnight?
  3. Could you please give a sequentially detail description of what happened at the satanic shrine: (a) Who accompanied you on the trip? (b) What did you specifically do there?
  4. (a) Was anyone slaughtered as part of the ritual you performed during the visit? (b) If the answer is yes, who did the slaughtering, was it you, or someone else? (c) How was the victim slaughtered? (d) Who was slaughtered? (e) Was the victim a male or female? (f) What was the age- exact or approximate?
  5. How was the victim obtained - abducted/kidnapped, lured or followed willingly?
  6. Being that the purpose of the ritual worked well, hence you became the governor, (a) What does it require to keep the ritual potent? (b) Would part of the requirements to keep the ritual potent be another periodic slaughter of human beings or some other sacrifices?
  7. As a medical doctor by training, (a) What is your view of witchcraft and idol worship? (b) Do you see any contradiction in view of your medical training?
  8. (a) Did you strip at the shine as reported by some media? (b) What was the significance of stripping naked during those rituals?
  9. Recently the Nigeria Police Inspector-General stated in a press conference that forensic and pathological examination show that some of the dead bodies recovered from the Okija shrine had head injuries, which are signs that they were murdered; do you have any comment or concern about this development and where it may lead?

Local Government Areas

Diversion of rural development funds

  1. (a) Do you divert funds allocated to the Local Governments into state use? (b) If the answer is yes, do you think that this practice is stifling social, economic and political development of the rural areas, thereby denying the grassroots’ masses the dividends of democracy?

Indefinite Postponement of Local Government Elections

  1. Have you been deliberately engineering crisis after crisis in order to keep postponing the local government elections in Anambra State, hence to maintain your firm grip on the local government funds having appointed all the Chairmen?

Death of female aide in New York hospital

  1. There were newspaper reports about the secrecy of the life and death of Miss Theresa Ego Nkwoka; (a) Could you shed some light on those? (b) What actually happened to the lady? (c) Was she 6 months pregnant as reported in Nigeria news media? (d) If the answer is yes, who did the abortion, where? (e) Did she agree to abort her child at 6 months, was she forced, and under what circumstance, doctor? (f) Why didn’t she do it earlier? (g) Did you secretly come to New York in about end of October 2004, few days prior to her death in a New York hospital? (h) Is her death part of ritual sacrifice?
  2. (a) Were you aware that the lady in whose residence the late Theresa Ego Nkwoka was staying in New York prior to her death has hardcore criminal history in the U.S.? (b) What is your relationship with this New York society lady? (c) Are you aware that she had boasted that she would not share you with anyone –man, woman or group?

Arson & Disorderly Conducts

  1. Recently, the Election Tribunal building in Awka was burnt and you blamed the act on your political opponents. Also recently, gunshots were fired into the air when the Senate delegation came to see you at Awka and you also blamed it on your political opponents and made an outrageous claim that it was an attempt to kill you. The Nigeria Police recently arrested your Special Adviser on Security Matters for paying a hoodlum N150, 000.00 (One hundred and fifty thousand Naira) to set the Election Tribunal Building on fire. The Nigeria Police also recently released a report that your security men fired gunshots into the air when the Senate delegation came to see you. In view of these, the questions therefore are; (a) Are you perpetrating some of these acts and blaming them on your opponents including the Presidency in order to curry sympathy and prolong your stay in office? (b) Are you afraid that if peace returns to Anambra State, people will start asking the serious questions about election irregularities that brought you to office?

Allegation of Planned Assassination of Critics

  1. Are you, in cohort with some other individuals making plans to assassinate your critics either in Nigeria or in the U.S.? Do you, in your imagination think you will get away with that, no matter how well planned?

Others

  1. What is your view of abductions/kidnappings of children in Nigeria for purpose of internal and international human trafficking? Reports indicate that some victims do end up slaughtered in various fetish shrines for ritual purposes. Do you have any idea how to stop the menace?
  2. What is your view on cult activities currently ravaging institutions of higher education in Nigeria? Could you be a good role model to stop the menace?
  3. Do you see the above practices as acceptable part of the ‘African culture’ or do you see anything wrong with any of them?
  4. At what point would you abandon the spin strategy and tell the good people of Anambra State nothing but the truth – the good, the bad and the ugly?
  5. Take a moment to review how you got to office and all the pains that had befallen Anambra State, do you at any point feel that you are in anyway part of the problem?
  6. When the truths of the whole matters unravel, (forget about the spin for a moment, if you could), how would you want history to remember you?

Extremely Rude Conduct

Governor Ngige wrote our organization requesting us to organize event for him to meet New York political and business leaders in November 2003. However, on getting to New York, he did not show up. The invited dignitaries and we find his conduct unbecoming. All efforts to get him to pay the bill he caused us to incur remain abortive. This we find very disturbing.

Answering these questions truthfully is very essential because if it is proven that the governor was involved in the slaughter of innocent and defenseless human beings at the fetish shrines, all the apparently strong propaganda machine he surrounds himself with, and all the sentimental support of the Anambra people he has been taping and enjoying at the meantime, and all the diversionary and displacement strategies would collapse like a mountain of dominos. The mess may be so colossal that it would require whole lots of Chukwuelobes and Akunnas to spin.

Please be informed that in a democracy, people have the right to know the conduct of government officials, elected or not elected. People also have the right to ask direct questions from the government official and get direct truthful answers. These are only questions and nothing more, and most importantly, the governor remains innocent of all questions until proven otherwise.

Anyone interested in participating in politely organized protest next time governor Ngige visits United States should contact us. All names will be kept confidential to the full extent of the law.
