The Culprits at Okija Shrine, Nigeria:
The Land Is Rotten, Smelling and Stinking

New York, March 27, 2006—Our attention has been drawn to an article published at Elendureports.com a U.S. based investigative Internet news service on March 22, 2006 titled “ Third Term: Fear of Ribadu is Motivation”.

Below three paragraphs are excerpts from the article;

“President Obasanjo is said to be scared of Nuhu Ribadu, the Executive Chairman of the EFCC“

“In recent times, the President has sought to amend the law setting up the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC). Some people we spoke with in Abuja suggest that the President wants to split this agency in order to weaken it and make Ribadu powerless. A former associate of Ribadu who, in fact, went to school with him told Elendureports.com sometime ago: “Obasanjo’s greatest mistake was appointing Ribadu the EFCC Chairman. You see, Ribadu has a one track mind and would carry out whatever orders he is given to the letter. If Ribadu remains in office after Obasanjo leaves, he will go after Obasanjo if the new President directs him to do so. You can take that to the bank. I bet Obasanjo didn’t know that.”

“Ever wondered why the celebrated Okija list was not published? Elendureports.com can now reveal that the then Inspector-General of Police, Tafa Balogun did not publish the list because the President’s name was on it. Other prominent Nigerians on that list include: Tony Annenih, Gov Orji Kalu, Olabode George, Otunba Fasowe, Tafa Balogun, Gov Peter Odili, former Senate Presidents Pius Anyim and Adolph Wabara. Also on the list are Andy Uba, Chris Uba, Marc Wabara and many others whose names we may publish at a later date”.

Background Information On Nigerian Leaders Involvement On Fetish Practices And Human Trafficking

On August 4, 2004, the Nigerian police raided satanic shrines in Okija, Anambra State , Nigeria and discovered over 70 dead bodies and hundreds of human body parts openly displayed and at various levels of decomposition. The police also recovered about four registers containing the names of the customers who patronized the shrines.

A federal lawmaker and few prominent individuals gave press interviews accusing the state governor who is a medical doctor of patronizing the shrines and requested the police to quiz the governor regarding the dead bodies found there. The governor retaliated by publicly admitted visiting the shrines as a client, and added that a powerful syndicate with access to the President Obasanjo, a born-again Christian took him there at gunpoint at about 2.00 a.m. to swear oath of obedience prior to his election in 2003.

It has to be noted that the federal lawmaker, the governor, party leaders and associates that escorted them to the satanic shrines, and President Obasanjo, all belong to the same political party (Peoples Democratic Party) ruling Nigeria.

On December 28, 2004, the Police Inspector-General stated in a press conference that forensic and pathological examination show that some of the dead bodies recovered from the Okija shrines had head injuries, which are signs that they were murdered and promised to make public the names of individuals whose names appear on the register recovered at the satanic shrines. Those names have not been made public till today.

On August 24, 2005, the court dismissed the government charge against the ‘Priests’ (custodians) of the shrines citing improper handling of the case, a clear euphemism for cover-up. The ‘priests’ had reportedly since resumed normal activities.

The latest article on Elendureport.com is the first time the names of individuals whose names may be on the register were made public. Those appear to be educated individuals ruling Nigeria today.

Since the news of the Okija horror broke out, Africans In America, Inc. has been calling for thorough investigation and prosecution of individuals responsible for the slaughter that took place in the satanic shrines based on our visceral knowledge that individuals usually used for those rituals are the poor and victims of trafficking.

Unfortunately, in Nigeria as in most African countries, crimes involving the powerful and influential members of the society never get properly investigated, nor diligently prosecuted.

Following this recent revelation by Elendureports.com, Africans In America, Inc. raises the following questions:

• Could it be possible that Nigerian democratic leaders actually kidnapped fellow Nigerians, bound them to satanic shrines, slaughtered and shed their blood for fetish rituals to seal oaths and covenants?
• How did the democratic leaders, some of them born-again Christians procure the victims of these rituals?
• Could some of the victims slaughtered in these satanic shrines be poor children abducted while returning from schools, poor children abducted while hawking goods on the streets?
• Could some of the victims slaughtered in these satanic shrines be victims of human trafficking?
• Could that explain the reason Nigerian leaders are not serious about combating human trafficking and cult activities ravaging institutions of higher learning?
• Could the political leaders be responsible for the cases of missing men, women and children in Nigeria?
• Could it be that some crooks had mischievously used the names of our leaders during visit to the shrines? If so, why are these leaders not calling for un-interfered clinical investigation?
• Could this be one of the reasons Transparency International Reports state that Nigeria was/is the second most corrupt country on earth, a direct indictment of the highest level of its leadership?
• Is the western democracy that have sufficient dossier of corruption in Nigeria weakened by their interest in its huge oil supply?
• Was Tafa Balogun, the former Police Chief disgraced out of office because he was corrupt, or because he failed to carry out unlawful assassination order from his boss as Elendureport.com had stated?
• Why is the police unable to release the names of the patrons and customers of these shrines as promised?
• Why was the gruesome discovery at Okija not properly investigated, properly charged and properly prosecuted
• Did the authority deliberately proffer improper charges to cover-up the highly connected individuals involved with satanic worship and human sacrifice in Nigeria?
• Is there some surreptitious manipulation from powerful quarters to shield the ‘priests’ from prosecution, hence concealing the identity of the highly connected individuals?
• Did the Okija horror, like most celebrated arrest cases quietly fizzle out after a short publicity stunt without diligent investigation and prosecution because our democratically elected leaders were involved?
• Is this case of Nigerian authority’s consistent demonstration of incapability in effectively dealing with cases when powerful and well-connected individuals are involved?
• Is slaughtering and shedding of innocent blood of citizens in the alters of fetish shrines part of the legitimate cultural interpretation of homegrown democracy in Nigeria?

Again, these are only questions and must not be misconstrued to mean something other that what we call them; QUESTIONS !!!

During recent visit to Nigeria, Africans In America, Inc. stumbled into newborn baby market in the country. The matter was reported to Nigerian law enforcement because our preliminary investigation indicates the syndicate was willing to sell to anyone with money regardless of the purpose, including ritual purposes. Recent reports indicate that authorities in Anambra and Enugu States have made some arrests and have discovered some of the brooders’ dens. The syndicates have since been calling our office issuing threats.

The Okija horror is a clear violation of human rights and the world community must take note to ensure that the perpetrators are eventually held accountable.

President Obasanjo survived being tied to a stake and executed by Nigerian brutal dictator late General Sani Abacha due to pressure from civil society and international community. Now that report indicates that his name and the names of his key associates appeared on the register of satanic shrines where humans are ritually slaughtered in order to seal oaths, obtain political power and wealth, the civil society and international community together with President Obasanjo must address this, as well.

Just like Charles Taylor and other human rights criminals in Liberia, Africans In America, Inc. is calling for clinical probe of Okija horror with a view to bring the culprits to justice either in Nigeria or anywhere in the world.

These are outrageous. There is clear and present horror in the Nigeria. The land is rotten; it is smelling and stinking. It cannot get worse than this.
